I really thought that Katherine Jenkins had it in the bag on “Dancing with the Stars” last night. With the stunning Irish singer making it to the show’s finale–and presumed front-runner Mario Menuonos eliminated last week–I thought the way was cleared for Jenkins to get the mirror ball trophy. I assumed that her competitors–Green Bay Packer Donald Driver and soap star William Levy would split the male vote, clearing the way for Jenkins to swoop in there even if she didn’t perform her best. But then her best she did–scoring 90 out of 90 points for her finale showings. I thought, “Katherine has got this!”

But alas, the “DWTS” winner is determined by voters, which always means surprises. And a Kate was not to be crowned the shows’s winner. At the end of last night’s show, Driver left the victor.

Katherine Jenkins looked thoroughly amazing last night on “Dancing with the Stars,” donning what could have been Catwoman’s suit with studs and weaving black tendrils into her blonde updo. However, she was not top dog on the dance floor this week. She got a 24 out of 30 for her Paso Doble, her lowest score to date. Meanwhile, NFL star Donald Driver snuck in there and took top honors. And no, it wasn’t just because he ripped off his jacket, revealing his very toned, very tattooed torso. He was actually really good. Get ‘em next time, Katherine.
