Obsessed with: Underwater Kate

Underwater Kate

So who is Underwater Kate, you ask? According to Etsy retailer NY Illustration, she is “a girl named Kate who goes on an underwater ‘Alice in Wonderland’ adventure.” Fun! The shop makes lots of items featuring a raven-haired Kate talking to a smiling fish. I’m trying to decide whether to get this dress to live in on casual days this summer or the tank top to liven up the boring suits I have to wear to work.

Obsessed with: Kate Greenaway Blocks

I was recently stumped about what to get a friend for her baby shower. And so, I turned to my old friend Etsy and was thrilled to find this stupid cute block set. The old-school illustrations on the blocks are by Kate Greenaway, who was the most popular children’s book author in England throughout the 1880s and 1890s. Apparently, she was quite the trendsetter, too. Her drawings inspired a generation of mothers to dress their daughters in pantaloons and bonnets. Yep, I’m pretty excited about these blocks. Well worth the $36.25.
