Hippie has never been my thing. And yet, I am always drooling over Nicole Richie’s amazing flower-child inspired style. I was a big fan of her jewelry collection House of Harlow when in came out in 2008. And now I am falling for her fashion label Winter Kate, which debuted in 2010 but this spring is seriously hitting it out of the ballpark. All three of these new Winter Kate dresses are the perfect balance of fresh and ’60s nostalgic. Not to mention that each looks like it would feel light and airy on a hot summer day.
So how did Richie come up with the name Winter Kater?
Well, it’s a little hard to say. Richie named her daughter, now 4-years-old, Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden. But while the label is clearly a compilation of her daughter’s middle names, it remains a mystery where she got that combo from in the first place.
