Kate Middleton gave her first public speech today, at the Treehouse Children’s Hospice in Ipswich, England. Apparently, the Duchess of Cambridge was extremely nervous stepping to the podium, telling one bystander, “I find doing speeches nerve wracking.” However, she pulled it off with ease. Who knew her voice was so sweet and willowy?
Luckily, no children fainted in the process of this speech. The same cannot be said of the Irish Guard, where a soldier hit the ground on Saturday, reportedly “swooning” over the thought of meeting Middleton.
