Kate Hudson will guest star on “Glee.” But can she sing?

Yesterday, Fox Entertainment announced  that “Glee” will have a very exciting guest star next season—the amazing Ms. Kate Hudson. (Okay, fine, they also announced the same for Sarah Jessica Parker, but we’re not nearly as interested in her for namist reasons.) The network gave very little information about what exactly Hudson will be doing on the show, but they did reveal that she would be part of a “multi-episode arc,” potentially dealing with McKinley High School graduates Rachel Berry, Finn Hudson, and Kurt Hummel as they enroll in a performing arts college in New York City.

This news obviously brings up one very important question: can Kate Hudson Sing?

The answer is yes.

Hudson has showed us her vocal chops a few times in the past. In 2009, she appeared in Rob Marshall’s musical, “Nine.” Here she is singing “Cinema Italiano” on the big screen.

Unfortunately, the audio quality on this next clip sucks. But perhaps you remember when Hudson appeared on an episode of “The Rachel Zoe Project,” and serenaded Zoe in the back of a Town car?

While Hudson’s son Ryder may have banned her from singing, we’re thinking that she might be able to pull this “Glee” thing off. I mean—if Gwyneth Paltrow can do it, surely Hudson can?

And luckily, she has lots of time to prep. Since her fiance and baby daddy happens to be Matthew Bellamy of Muse, maybe he can give her a few tips?
